AMIN Interfaith Habitat-For-Humanity partnership Program
The AMIN has partnered with Habitat for Humanity to help provide homes for families in need since January 2008. AMIN is a partner and steering committee member in the Habitat for Humanity "Interfaith Volunteer Corps" initiative, which allows faith partners to sponsor and help build homes in the Baltimore area. This is a unique opportunity that allows AMIN members to work hand-in-hand with people of different faiths to not only build homes together, but also build bridges of understanding between each other. Partners in the Interfaith Volunteer Corps commit to a year of participating in the Steering committee, raising funds to support the Community Sponsorship of homes, organizing events outside of the build to create more understanding and working side by side on Habitat homes. Mission: To build homes for those in need while also promoting understanding and dialogue with people of different faiths.

AMIN Religious Roundtable & Discussion Series
The Religious Roundtable, founded in January 2008, was established to serve as a casual, non-judgmental dialogue group to discuss intrafaith issues, current events and other topics which are of interest to and/or affect American Muslims. Previous discussions have included, Muslim assimilation verses integration in American culture, anti-Islamic propaganda and the controversial Dutch cartoons, and a film screening and discussion about "Prince of Slaves." Our best-attended event is the member-driven dialogue of "What Ramadan Means to Me" which is followed by a grand iftar. Roundtable discussions are scheduled quarterly and are open to all.
