We are currently looking for people to staff the following positions:
- Administrative Assistant --

- Corporate Lawyer --
Support AMIN leadership with various administrative tasks including but not limited to: update and maintain both the AMIN calendar and the member database, managing event invitations and RSVP counts, printing and faxing of AMIN materials upon direction of AMIN leadership.
This is an unpaid position and the hours per week will vary from 0 to 10 depending on your efficiency. The majority of this work can be done on your time, i.e. you do not have to be available during the 9am-5pm hours. This is a great opportunity for a college student who is looking to get some experience in the inner-workings of a non-profit organization.
Qualifications: Candidates should be in College (High School seniors will be considered with exceptional references), be fluent in Microsoft Office Suite, be comfortable with using the internet and support AMIN's mission.
Works in conjunction with other program coordinators under the guidance of the Executive Committee to successfully plan and implement AMIN events and initiatives. Duties will include, but are not limited to: arranging for event venue, food/catering, AV logistics, permits or licenses, arranging for group rates, transportation and more. Some of the annual events you will be responsible for are: AMIN 3rd Annual Ski Trip, AMIN 2nd Annual Winter Holiday Party, AMIN 2nd Annual Ring-in-the-New Year Party, Breaking Barriers: Minority Women's Heath Educational Conference and more.
This is an unpaid position and the weekly hours will vary from 2 to 20 depending on your efficiency and on the events scheduled for that week. You will need to be available on evenings and weekends for most of the events. You will not necessarily need to be available during the 9am-5pm hours.
This position is ideal for an individual who has experience in event planning or who is extremely organized and would like to gain experience in event planning.
Qualifications: Candidates must be extremely organized, reliable, have experience working on a tight schedule, have good negotiating skills, and are able to lead/manage a staff of volunteers.
Will recruit and manage volunteers for AMIN's Fundraising and Development Associatevarious initiatives and events. Coordinator will maintain a database of people who wish to volunteer regularly or for single events and will regularly correspond with those individuals about upcoming opportunities. Coordinator will work in conjunction with other program coordinators and under the guidance of the Executive Committee to determine the number of volunteers needed for each event.
This is an unpaid position and the weekly hours will vary from 2 to 20 depending on your efficiency and on the events scheduled for that week. You will need to be available on evenings and weekends for most of the events. You will not necessarily need to be available during the 9am-5pm hours.
The position is ideal for someone who wishes to add to their experience as a volunteer or staff coordinator.
Qualifications: Candidate must be highly organized with database management experience. Must also be skilled in communicating with volunteers in order to motivate and inspire them to do great things. Must believe in what AMIN stands for and be able to recruit volunteers who do so as well.
Will assist the Communications Committee Chairperson with day to day communications needs. This includes but is not limited to: writing content for the monthly newsletter, content and development of event programs and organizational brochures and writing press releases.
This is an unpaid position and the weekly hours will vary from 2 to 10 depending on your efficiency and on the assignments due that for that week. The majority of the work you'll do can been done on your schedule i.e. you will not need to be available during the 9am-5pm hours.
The position is ideal for a student of journalism or communications, or someone who simply enjoys and excels at writing.
Qualifications: Candidate must have impeccable writing and editing skills. Must be reliable and able to stick to a tight deadline. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to design/format programs if needed.
Will work on Fundraising and Development for AMIN. This includes researching and writing grants for which we qualify and working with the Event Coordinator to plan an annual fundraising event. You will also maintain a donor database and maintain relationships with past individual/corporate donors while developing new relationships with potential donors.
This is an unpaid position and the weekly hours will vary from 2 to 10 depending on your efficiency and the needs of the organization. The majority of the work you'll do can been done on your schedule i.e. you will not need to be available during the 9am-5pm hours.
The position is ideal for someone looking to broaden their experience in sales, development, client relations and/or fundraising.
Qualifications: Candidate must have impeccable writing and communications skills. Must be reliable and organized with excellent people skills. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
